From 9a4f603befd750d7eb1f00dc341bf1c7b68cb564 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: skylar Date: Sun, 1 Nov 2026 20:02:21 -0800 Subject: Signal: signel chats with voice calls, names instead of numbers signel talks to signal-cli over JSON-RPC and starts with Doom when signel-account is set (from the private overlay). Voice calls ride on signal-cli 0.14's callEvent notifications: call, answer, decline and hang up from a chat, a desktop notification with Answer/Decline, a modeline segment, and PulseAudio loopbacks joining each call's virtual devices to the default microphone and speakers. Chats are keyed by Signal ID and named the way the phone names them, from listContacts and listGroups, so phone numbers the phone hides are never shown.
